An end-to-end print optimization solution includes three phases: In the first consulting phase, Konica Minolta analyzes the customer’s existing infrastructure to design an optimal solution appropriate for the company’s business tasks.

Konica Minolta specialists performed a pre-project audit and analyzed the existing printing infrastructure at the bank’s headquarters.
The audit results helped them understand the bank’s print and document workflow needs and design an optimization project, including a proposal to reduce the number of print devices and replace them with higher-performance models.
Implementation
They began the implementation of the pilot project in the part facing the public of the bank.
As part of the pilot project, Konica Minolta provided 340 printing devices of different sizes, from personal devices to full range to high-speed A3 systems, and implemented YSoft SafeQ software and hardware solution to control and manage print jobs…
Management
Konica Minolta provides continuous remote monitoring of all printing devices.
A dedicated customer support manager, using specialists from other Konica Minolta departments and keeping track of required response times, is responsible for resolving all issues related to print infrastructure operations.
Results of the project
- Transfer printing costs from CAPEX to OPEX;
- Lower the net cost of printing by:
- reducing the number of monochrome printing devices by 43% and color devices by 50%
- increase the proportion of most profitable A3 devices from 7% to 30%
