How to reach the Everest base camp

To reach the Everest base camp, firstly the trekkers need to reach the Nepali capital city of Kathmandu, and from there the main trekking journey begins. 

By air:- 

Kathmandu is well connected by air, due to the presence of the Tribhuvan International Airport, which has numerous direct flights flying from all the major cities of India and the rest of the world such as Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, And Varanasi to Kathmandu.

By road:- 

The trekkers can reach Kathmandu by bus as well, numerous buses ply from Gorakhpur and Varanasi to the Nepalese Border at Sunauli. And from Sunauli the trekkers can take a local bus to the capital city of Kathmandu. 

By railways:- 

Kathmandu is not Directly connected by railways. However, there is a train flying from Jaynagar in India to Janakpur in Nepal. And From Janakpur It’s approximately 6 hour’s drive to the capital city of Kathmandu.

Way to Everest base camp

The trekkers need to take a Domestic flight from Ramechaap to reach Lukla. The flight to Lukla is the highest flight taken from the world. Then the trekkers begin a trek at the Namche Bazaar. The trekking route is surrounded by high green mountain ranges and beautiful suspension bridges where the Dudh Koshi river and Bhote Koshi rivers are flowing freely. 

Then the trekkers will be hiking to Syangboche/Khumjung and return to Namche through the twin Sherpa hamlets of Khumjung and Khunde. Then from Namche the trekkers head from Namche to Deboche. In this way, you can relish a variety of scrumptious food at cafes and can also visit the most stunning monastery known as Tengboche Monastery. 

The plan

Then after a bit of rest, the trekkers start to trek from Deboche to Dingboche and then from the beautiful location of Dingboche to Lobuche. On the way you get to witness various snowy glaciers, offering the most breathtaking view in front. 

Then the trekkers head from Lobuche to Gorakshep to Everest Base Camp. Tracing the trails from Lobuche through narrow mountain gaps, glacial moraine alongside the world’s highest Khumbu glacier where you will get a 360-degree view of mighty snowy peaks.

Then the trekkers take the ultimate adventurous trip to Everest base camp. Then from the campsite, the trekkers take a trek to Kala Patthar. There you can enjoy a stunning sunrise view from the backdrop of Mt. Everest. Relish your time at the destination then trek back to Gorakshep. Hence your adventurous Trekking expedition comes to an end. 

Hardships of the trek

The trek at Everest base camp is considered to be difficult owing to the extreme weather conditions on the land. 

The trekkers require a certain level of physical fitness to go for the Everest base camp trek. The weather is extremely cold and everyone can’t endure trekking in such extreme conditions. The sloppy and uneven trails, glaciers, and mountains make it even more difficult. Therefore, listen carefully to your instructors to have a safe and secure experience.  

Do not forget to carry Warm clothes, trekking boots, gloves, trekking sticks, and woolen caps among other trekking equipment. If you follow all the required instructions then you can fully relish your adventurous expedition.
